Come enjoy the tastes of harvest at the farm!

Experience fall foliage here on the Olde Stage Road where stage riders would stop at the Jones Tavern for refreshments such as Raspberry Shrub or Switchel. Sally Wooster Wallingford Jones will welcome you into the tavern where you will have a chance to taste “tavern fare.” Then you’ll be greeted in our 1940s kitchen where the tavern staff will prepare apple crisp to be baked over the open hearth outside. Take a taste of apple crisp before your tractor ride over the 60 plus acres. Don’t forget your camera as you explore our farm and visit with our barnyard animals, too!

Grandma Pat will read “The Pumpkin Man” and “Hardscabble Harvest“ in the ell to our younger visitors before taking them to visit and feed the chickens! Children can play lawn games such as the hoop of grace, hoop rolling, or horseshoes. Children 12 and under will get a free pumpkin (limited to the first 20 who arrive). Apple cider making demonstrations. Visit the York Cider Mill and discover why apple cider was the most common drink in America in the 1700s and 1800s. Homemade jams and jellies are available for purchase in our Country Store!
