Join us for Stories on the Farm every Friday this summer from 10-11:30! This will be for all ages and we will offer two books each week; one for the “littles” and one for the “bigs.” This year’s theme will be Farm Animals. This program is FREE to all!

June 25th - The Animals of Farmer Jones by Rudolf Freund and Farm Animals by Hans Helweg
Take a tractor ride around the farm, and meet each animal face to nose/snout/beak:)
July 2 - Interrupting Chickens by David Stein and Sonja’s Chickens by Phoebe Wahl
Feed some chickens, greet some chickens, dance with chickens...toss some chickens???
July 9 - Charlie Needs a Cloak by Tomie dePaola and Warm as Wool by Scott Russell Sanders
Wash the wool, card the wool, spin the wool, weave the wool!
July 16 - Kiss the Cow by Phyllis Root and Fudge the Cow by Farmer Brya
Milk a “cow”, make some butter, eat some ice creammmmmm!
July 23 - Three Billy Goats Gruff by Paul Galdone and The Summer of Stanley by Natalie-Kinsey Warnock
Hold a goat, hop like a goat, try some goat cheese!
July 30 - Hogwash by Karma Wilson and Saving Emma the Pig by John Chester
Feed the pigs, make mud pies, and take a pig personality test??

Pet a cat, take a cat for a walk, catch some rats??

Join our Book Club, focusing on books about man’s best friend! Sign up at Story Time and over the course of the summer, we will complete the books Tornado by Betsy Byars, Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner, and Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. Prizes will be awarded for children that complete each week’s reading assignment. Children can read on their own, or be read to!
