The Great NH Pie Festival™

Arguably the best food ever invented, join us as we celebrate our biggest event of the year, Pie Fest! Come down to the farm on Sunday, September 22nd as we eat our way though pies baked by some of the best bakers in the state. The 11th annual Great NH Pie Festival is drawing bakers from all over in the pursuit of pie perfection.

1st, 2nd, & 3rd prizes will be awarded for the best Apple, Non-Apple Fruit, Non-Fruit, and Savory pies. We also have a kids division (any kind of pie, for bakers under 13) and a teen category (for bakers aged 13-17). The best pie of all will win the prestigious Louise Hoage Award.

Visitors also get to judge the competition among commercially made pies for the People’s Choice Awards.

Bring a pie and get in free, or just bring your appetite! Doors open for pie drop-offs at 10:00am. Doors open to the public at noon. To enter, simply show up with your pie between 10:00am and 11:40am and fill out an entry form. No need to register ahead of time!

About the Louise Hoage Memorial Award

Founded in 2015, the prestigious Louise Hoage Award is named for Louise V. Hoage.

Born in the Brittany region of France, Louise was a GI war bride who survived WWII in France and moved to Farmington in 1946 at the age of 24. An incredible baker and a regular winner at the pie festival, Louise also served as president of the Farmington Historical Society, a custodian at the Farmington Library, and a member of the Farmington Woman’s Club.

Louise is fondly remembered as a generous friend and an absolutely fantastic baker! This grand prize is awarded to the best pie of the event across all categories.
